First good read for 2018

So, I couldn’t just stay away from blogging. As I’m sitting here relaxing, I thought I should let you all in on a secret. Blogging is quickly becoming a problem which is bad for me, but good for all of you reading this. Speaking of reading, I’m currently reading Jackie’ s Girl: My Life with the Kennedy Family.

¬†Seriously guys, such a good book! I bought this last summer and when I buy books, I seriously buy at least 4-5 books at a time so I’m just now getting around to reading this. I just started this last week and already am halfway through it. If you are a history buff or enjoy personal memoirs, this is the book for you. It has so much rich historical content but the story behind it all is enthralling. I’ve always had a thing for the Kennedy’s and enjoy reading about JFK and the like, so this book jumped out at me.

I don’t want to give away too much from this book, but let’s just say it keeps your attention. Kathy McKeon, the author, was Mrs. Kennedy’s personal assistant and helped with little John and Caroline Kennedy. This book takes place beginning in the late 1960’s up through the early 90’s and if you ask me, the 60’s and 70’s were quite the time to be alive– I swear I belong in those decades!

Anyways, enough rambling about this book. I could talk forever about a good read. I hope some of you pick up a copy of this and enjoy it as much as I do! With that being said, off I go to make a mug of hot tea and read to wind down for the evening.

Stay warm if you’re somewhere cold like me! Otherwise, I’m jealous!

Xoxo, Lexi
